Men’s Basketball Travels to Davidson on Tuesday

BRONX, N.Y. –  The Fordham University Rams continue the 2023-2024 season, Fordham’s 121st varsity season, and continue Atlantic 10 play by traveling to Davidson, N.C., to take on the Davidson College Wildcats in Belk Arena on Tuesday, February 20, at 7:00 p.m.
 
Join the Ramses Challenge, a philanthropic initiative supporting our student-athletes. Pledge a set amount for each rebound, offensive rebound, steal, or assist. All proceeds are tax-deductible and go directly to the men’s basketball program. There is also an option to make a one-time gift to men’s basketball.
 
The game will be streamed live on ESPN+ with Tom Werme (PxP) and Sam Goldfarb (analyst) announcing as well as broadcast on WFUV (90.7 FM) and the WFUV Sports YouTube page with Miles Grossman (PxP) and Kris Pursiainen (analyst) behind the mics.
 
Fordham enters the game with a 10-15 overall record, 4-8 in the Atlantic 10, and is coming off a 78-70 Atlantic 10 loss at #16/18 Dayton on Saturday afternoon while Davidson enters the game with a 14-11 overall record, 4-8 in the conference, after an 81-80 overtime A-10 loss at St. Bonaventure on Saturday.
 
Tuesday night’s contest will be the 19th meeting between Fordham and Davidson on the hardwood.  The Wildcats lead the all-time series 15-3, including a win earlier this year in the Rose Hill Gym.

• Senior guard Kyle Rose is Fordham’s all-time games played leader with 133 games played.
 
• Rose has appeared in 127 straight games dating back to his freshman season in 2019-2020.
 
• Senior guard Japhet Medor leads the Rams in scoring (11.6) and is second in assists (2.7/game) while sophomore guard Will Richardson is second in scoring, averaging 10.2 ppg.
 
• Over the past 14 games, senior guard Kyle Rose is averaging 12.0 ppg and 6.0 rpg, 14.3 ppg over the past four.
 
• Over the past nine games, senior guard Antrell Charlton has 28 assists and only nine turnovers.
 
Kyle Rose has 204 career steals, sixth all-time at Fordham.
 
• Rose has 55 steals this year (2.2/game), first in the Atlantic 10, while senior guard Antrell Charlton has 36 (1.4/game), tied for eighth most in the A-10 this season.
 
• Senior forward Abdou Tsimbila has 56 blocks in 24 games (2.3/game), second in the Atlantic 10.
 
• Tsimbila has 150 career blocks, sixth all-time at Fordham.
 
• Tsimbila also leads the Rams in rebounding, averaging 6.1/game, 13th in the Atlantic 10.
 
• After averaging 2.7 ppg and 2.0 rpg last year, sophomore forward Elijah Gray is averaging 10.0 ppg and 4.3 rpg this year, including his first collegiate double-double with 12 points and eleven rebounds versus Davidson.
 
• Over the past two years, the Rams are 9-6 in Atlantic 10 road games. The only school with more A-10 road wins over the past two years is VCU with 12 (Dayton and Richmond also have nine conference road wins over that stretch).
 
• The Rams did not lose any student-athletes to the transfer portal from 2022-23.
 
• The Rams continue the 2024 Atlantic 10 season by hosting the Duquesne University Dukes in the historic Rose Hill Gym on Friday, February 23, at 8:30 p.m. in a game that will be televised on ESPN2.
