CARY, N.C. – The Elon University men’s tennis team picked up three singles wins and a doubles victory on Saturday at ITA Carolina Regionals. Duke is hosting the tournament at the Cary Tennis Park.
 
Veljko Krstic, the last remaining player in the main singles draw entering the day, suffered a 7-5, 6-4 setback against No. 14 Connor Krug of Duke. In the consolation draw, Oskar Antinheimo, Juan Sengariz and Alonso Roca picked up first round wins and will all play again Sunday. 
 
Sengariz and Ben Zipay teamed up for Elon’s lone doubles triumph of the day, as the duo defeated Max Graham and Alex Horn of Wofford 8-7 (4). Sengariz and Zipay were defeated in the next round. 
 
Elon’s three round of 32 consolation singles matches on Sunday will begin at 9 a.m. Oskar Antinheimo and Veljko Krstic are the Elon’s last doubles team alive and begin the play in consolation draw Sunday.
