Men’s Tennis Concludes Fall with Strong Performance in Final Day of SMU Invite


DALLAS, TX – Harvard men’s tennis concluded their fall season with seven wins through doubles and singles in the final day of the SMU Invite. 
 
The Crimson kicked off their final day of the fall by going undefeated in doubles play, including David Lins and Alan Yim capping off an undefeated weekend with a 6-3 victory over Lucas Magnaudet and Michael Wright (Cal).  The duos of Masato Perera and Melchior Delloye and Valdemar Pape and Marc Ktiri each downed their respective opponents, 6-2. 
 
In singles the Crimson grabbed four more victories to bring their weekend win total to 20.  Yim, Ktiri, Perera, and Pape each were victorious in their matches against Cal opponents.  Tiebreakers decided each of the four wins as the Crimson battled neck and neck with their oppoents. 
 
Throughout the fall season the squad accumulated 63 singles and 32 doubles victories through just five tournaments. 

Harvard Highlights

  • In doubles Lins and Yim were a perfect 4-0 this weekend, concluding the fall with a record of 5-3. 
  • Yim, Perera, and Ktiri all went undefeated in singles play throughout their three-day weekend.  Ktiri now joins Lins with the most singles wins of any Crimson player as the pair both sit with 10 victories. 
  • Overall, the Crimson were 8-4 in doubles and 20-3 in singles through the three-day tournament.
