The Harding men’s tennis team competed over four singles flights and two doubles flights in the GAC Individual Championships on Friday and Saturday in Russellville.
Cas De Ruiter represented the Bisons in Flight 1 Singles and fell in the quarterfinals before winning a match in the consolation bracket before falling in the consolation finals. Cian Mikkelsen reached the semifinals of the Flight 2 Singles draw.
Jaydon van Vreden fell in his first match of Flight 3 Singles, but bounced back, winning two matches to take the consolation title. Edoardo D’Arrigo and Hunter Demunbrun both won their opening matches in Flight 4 Singles before eventually bowing out.
In Flight 1 doubles, de Ruiter and Mikkelsen dropped their opening round match but responded with two match victories to take the consolation bracket. Van Vreden and Caleb Folse fell in the semifinals after an opening round victory.
Flight 2 doubles saw Bryce Walker and D’Arrigo reach the semifinals and Demunbrun and Florian Gayme fall in the consolation final.
The Bisons will return to action in Conway on February 1 when the Bisons take on Hendrix to open the Spring portion of their schedule.
