Men’s tennis poised for match against Louisiana


FORT MYERS, Fla. – Florida Gulf Coast University men’s tennis (0-1) is welcoming Louisiana to Fort Myers on Saturday at 12 p.m.

This is the second match of the season for the Eagles after the match against Buffalo was rained out. The Green and Blue fell to Troy on Jan 13, 5-2.

Louisiana has yet to play a match but will have a match against FAU under their belt before traveling across the state to face FGCU.

Philipp Bosse and Pablo Paternostro came away with wins in singles action on courts two and three, respectively, earning the two Eagles points against troy. Hugo Magnusson and Eric Oncins teamed up for a win on doubles court one but Troy ultimate took the doubles point.

Following this match, men’s tennis starts a long non-conference road trip before welcoming Santa Clara to the FGCU Tennis Complex on Feb. 25.
