Men’s Tennis Sends Six to ITA Super Regionals


CAMBRIDGE, Mass.  – After qualifying three for the ITA Super Regionals two weekends ago, Harvard men’s tennis will send six total Crimson to Princeton, N.J. this weekend.  The Crimson will be represented by Daniel Milavsky, Cooper Williams, Valdemar Pape, David Lins, and Marc Ktiri in singles along with Milavksy and Williams and Pape and Masato Perera in doubles. 

What to Know

  • Pape, Lins, and Ktiri all punched their tickets to the super regionals following 3-0 performances at the ITA Northeast Regionals two weekends ago. 
  • Lins and Ktiri have had strong starts to their years, both standing with undefeated records at 5-0 and 6-0, respectively.
  • Pape and Perera enter the super regionals undefeated as a duo, with a strong 5-0 start, including going 3-0 at the ITA Northeast Regionals to qualify. 
  • Milavsky and Williams are coming off a successful trip to the ITA All-American Championships.  The duo went 7-1 in their time in Tulsa, ultimately taking down No. 24 Erik Grevelius and Alvin Tudorica (USF) to win the main draw consolation bracket.
  • Overall, Milavsky and Williams lead the team in doubles wins with a record of 9-2. 

Next Up

The finalist in both doubles and singles at the ITA Super Regionals will advance to the ITA Fall Nationals in San Diego, Calif. Beginning Wednesday, November 1 and running through Sunday, November 5.  The same weekend the Crimson will close out the fall at the SMU Invite in Dallas, TX.
