Men’s Tennis Visits Wisconsin in Second Match of Season


MADISON, Wis. – DePaul (0-1) travels north to take on Wisconsin (0-1) in its second match of the week.  First serve is set to take place at 6:00 p.m. CT on Friday, Jan. 19 from the Nielsen Tennis Stadium in Madison, Wis. 
 
After starting off the dual season strong by taking two out of three doubles matches against No. 14 Michigan, DePaul fell on Monday by a score of 6-1.
 
Wisconsin plays host to the Blue Demons, as the Badgers are coming off of a tough loss in its first match of the season against Miami, 4-2.
 
The Blue Demons last faced Wisconsin opponents in October at the 2023 ITA Midwest Regional Tournament in Ann Arbor, Mich. Matteo Iaquinto, Leon Huck, and Sven Moser each represented DePaul in these fall tournament matches.
 
The last time the two teams met in dual play on Jan. 20, 2023, Wisconsin came out on top, 6-1. Huck and Iaquinto will each face the Badgers for a team high three times on Friday. 
 
Coach Brothers searches for his first win against Wisconsin as the head coach of DePaul. His last victory against the Badgers came during the 2003 season, as the assistant coach for the Iowa Hawkeyes.

UP NEXT
