MUSKOGEE, Okla. — City Councilors in Muskogee have approved a measure that could get more mental health assistance for Police Officers.

The City Council has allowed the Department to apply for a grant geared toward mental health offered through the Justice Department.

Money from that grant can be used to implement or improve peer support, training, family resources, suicide prevention, and other wellness programs for officers.
