Mercedes-Benz is pleased to announce a new strategic partnership with Bucharest Fashion Week, becoming the main partner of the most prestigious fashion event in Romania. This collaboration represents a further step in Mercedes-Benz’s commitment to support excellence, innovation and elegance in all its forms. The partnership underlines the shared values of the two: passion for perfection, attention to detail and the desire to redefine standards of excellence.
As a result of this partnership, the event will bear the name Mercedes-Benz Bucharest Fashion Week and its logo will incorporate Mercedes-Benz branding. The event’s official website and social media channels are also centered on elegant Mercedes-Benz elements, visually marked by the brand’s famous three-pointed star pattern.
Mercedes-Benz Bucharest Fashion Week will run from 15-17 October and will transform the centre of Bucharest into a place of global importance, putting it on the map alongside other fashion capitals such as Milan, Paris, London and New York. The event is centred around promoting Romanian and regional designers, connecting Eastern Europe with the rest of the continent, celebrating the region’s fashion, art and culture.
“For over a century, Mercedes-Benz has been at the forefront of automotive design. Our cars are known for their timeless beauty, combining elegant lines with dynamic proportions to create a harmonious meeting of form and function. But Mercedes-Benz’s commitment to design goes beyond our cars. We have a long tradition of supporting the arts and creative industries, including fashion. Through partnerships with over 60 fashion platforms around the world, we provide a stage for visionary designers and celebrate their creativity. From Paris to New York, Milan to Tokyo, Mercedes-Benz is a global supporter of creativity, innovation and elegance and we are extremely excited to bring this legacy to Bucharest,” says Natalie Thompson, CEO – Mercedes-Benz Romania.
The event will bring together a remarkable community of professionals: from fashion designers, celebrities, influencers, bloggers, fashion editors, journalists, PR and media specialists, to stylists, photographers, videographers, make-up artists, hairstylists and fashion enthusiasts. Thus, Mercedes-Benz Bucharest Fashion Week will be both an artistic, cultural and touristic landmark for Romania. As a main partner, Mercedes-Benz supports Bucharest Fashion Week in promoting and developing the fashion industry and the talents around it.
“Even if it is only at its first edition, Bucharest Fashion Week aims to become a driving force for the economic and social development of Bucharest and Romania, but also to promote local talents, providing a platform for both education and opening international career opportunities for Romanian designers. Our goal is to make Bucharest an important hub in European fashion, in an event organized at international standards of quality and professionalism. In order to achieve these goals, we needed a reliable and prestigious partner whose concerns for quality and a sustainable future align with those promoted by Bucharest Fashion Week. We are extremely proud that, from the very beginning, this strategic partner is Mercedes-Benz! By uniting the two brands, Bucharest Fashion Week – a registered trademark that we own in its entirety and that has no connection with similar events that have been organized in the past – and Mercedes-Benz, our event, now Mercedes-Benz Bucharest Fashion Week, enters an elite family, an association that we are happy about and that, be convinced, we will honor to the fullest,” said Mario Antico, co-organizer of Mercedes-Benz Bucharest Fashion Week.
Mercedes-Benz Bucharest Fashion Week promises a spectacular edition with impressive fashion presentations, memorable moments and unique events. Participants will have the opportunity to discover the latest fashion trends and interact with renowned designers such as Maria Lucia Hohan, SeenUsers, Rhea Costa, Almaz, Murmur, Manuri, Carmen Secăreanu, Ami Amalia and many others. They will present their latest collections, in Runway Fashion Shows, both on the central stage and in private events, one of the three pillars of the event.
The events around Mercedes-Benz Bucharest Fashion Week will take place in emblematic locations in Bucharest, such as La Mița Biciclista – Creative Establishment, UNArte, Intercontinental Athenee Palace Hotel, National Museum of Art of Romania, Bucharest National Opera, National Military Circle, and the Romanian Athenaeum.
