New Olive & Finch location is open in downtown

Olive & Finch is continuing its expansion in downtown Denver.

The local “fine-casual” restaurant that focuses on creating convenient chef-driven meals has a new location open at the Denver Performing Arts Complex – and its Olive & Finch’s first spot with a full bar.

The restaurant at 1000 14th St. includes a private dining area, a patio and a self-serve pastry case.

“We can’t wait for downtown residents, visitors and theater patrons alike to experience this wonderful new amenity at the Arts Complex,” said Mark Heiser, Denver Performing Arts Complex venue director, in a news release.

Olive & Finch was founded by Denver-based chef Mary Nguyen in 2013 and has been quickly expanding in the last year.

It now has four locations including in Uptown, Cherry Creek, Denver Union Station, plus its coffee shop Little Finch on 16th Street and the new Finch on the Fly kiosk at Denver International Airport.

“Hot off the heels of opening Olive & Finch at Denver Union Station, we’re thrilled to be doubling down on downtown with this new Arts Complex location,” stated Nguyen.

The chef said in the release she hopes to double the restaurant’s footprint in the next five years, both in Colorado and out of the state.

The new gym and club opened at 1821 30th St. within the Twenty Ninth Street shopping center. It’s Life Time’s eighth location in Colorado and spans 52,000-square-feet.

Life Time Boulder will be a center with a mix of outdoor and indoor activities. It includes six-lane pool with views of the Flatirons, a year-round heated pool, a three-lane indoor pool, cold plunge, whirlpool, sauna and steam room.

It also has a workout floor with cardio equipment, resistance-training machines, free weights, boutique-style yoga, cycling and pilates studios, as well as a hydromassage and a cyrolounge.

The club will also have a kids academy and parents can use up to two hours of child care a day with a junior membership.

“Boulder is home to one of the most passionate and performance-driven fitness communities in the country,” said Jarod Cogswell, club leader at Life Time Boulder, in a news release. “We’ve designed this club as a destination for elite athletes and everyday achievers alike, offering the luxurious amenities and best-in-class programming Life Time is known for, all under one roof.”

Last year, Denver designated Aerial Cirque Over Denver as one of the city’s legacy businesses.

The new location at 13873 E Briarwood Ave. marks the Denver business’ expansion into the south metro area, offering classes and events for the communities in Centennial, Highlands Ranch, Parker, Littleton and Lone Tree.

“Being recognized as a Legacy Business reinforces our deep roots in Denver’s cultural identity, and we’re excited to bring our creative spirit to Centennial,” Plaven said.
