Sistain opening new store

A Denver home décor brand with a mission for more sustainable living opened a new store in Lower Downtown (LoDo).

Sistain opened last week within the Free Market at Dairy Block, a retail marketplace in the historic LoDo district that also acts as an incubator for budding businesses.

The woman-owned business — called Sistain meaning sisters in sustainability — sources from brands and products that are non-toxic and ethically sourced home items and décor.

“Our vision at Sistain is so much bigger than simply living more sustainably.” said Sistain founder Jaclyn Tracy in a statement. “It’s about taking control of the economy we already run as women and using our collective power to raise the standard. Demanding quality not only in the products we purchase, but for the people that make them.”

Free Market at Dairy Block is also home to Aesop, Alchemy Works, BeautyCounter, Bruto, Meno, Rosemont Barber and Supply and Parker Clay.

“From the inception of a case to the end, I have worked on settling matters, tried cases to verdict, and every stage in between,” Steele said in a the release. “My work in the DA’s office has grown my ability to analytically look at cases and understand what needs to be done to achieve the best resolution for the side I represent.”

Coming to Boulder soon

Ragstock is coming back to Boulder.

The vintage-and-recycled clothing and accessories store signed a lease for a location near Pearl Street, commercial real estate broker firm CBRE announced.

“Ragstock couldn’t have picked a better location for their return to Boulder,” said CBRE’s Molly Bayer, who represented Ragstock in finding the nearly 4,000-square-foot location, in a news release. “The proximity to restaurants and the walkability of the surrounding community make it a great place to set up shop.”

The shop will be a block away from the heart of Boulder’s business district at 1915 Broadway.

“We’re thrilled to be back in the Boulder market,” said Ragstock President Libby Finn in the release. “The Colorado market in general, and Boulder in particular, has proven to be a perfect fit for Ragstock’s unique mix of vintage and new apparel and accessories.”

The Minnesota vintage clothing chain has 40 locations nationwide. Its Colorado stores are in Lakewood, Broomfield and Fort Collins.

No estimate on the re-opening date was provided.
