The highly awaited Michael Jackson biopic, named simply Michael, has officially revealed its whole cast, unveiling the individuals who will play the famed Jackson 5 throughout their careers.
Jaafar Jackson, Michael’s real-life nephew, will go off against the King of Pop. His casting, announced in January 2023, caused enthusiasm because of his unmistakable similarity to his uncle.
Jaafar is joined by a great group of young actors who will play a young Michael Jackson during his formative years. Juliano Krue Valdi plays the character in sequences illustrating the Jackson Five’s early climb to prominence.
The film uses dual-casting to represent the boys’ transition into maturity. Jayden Harville and Jamal R. Henderson will play Jermaine Jackson, with Jaylen Lyndon Hunter and Tre Horton playing Marlon.
Tito is played by Judah Edwards and Rhyan Hill, with Nathaniel Logan McIntyre and Joseph David-Jones rounding out the cast as Jackie.
The biopic, directed by Antoine Fuqua and written by John Logan, also stars well-known performers in supporting roles.
Colman Domingo, an Academy Award contender, plays Michael’s father, Joe Jackson, while Miles Teller portrays longtime lawyer John Branca. Nia Long will play Katherine Jackson, Michael’s mother.
Michael’s filming is already beginning, with an April 2025 release date. The documentary promises to dive into the Jackson 5’s journey, highlighting both their musical successes and the complexity of their family dynamics.
Michael, with its superb cast and competent production crew, is ready to become a widely anticipated cinematic event.
