Michigan State University Is Installing Extra Locks On Classroom Doors

After a gunman killed three students and injured five during a mass shooting on campus last month, Michigan State University will install locks on 1,300 classrooms as part of a suite of security measures. In addition to restricting evening access to some public facilities, the school will install more surveillance cameras. According to the Detroit Free Press, numerous colleges in Michigan have more modern safety procedures than MSU, including many that can instantaneously lock down campus facilities.
