Middleton becoming premier destination for entertainment

Entertainment options are expanding in Middleton, beginning Sunday when The Tracy Performing Arts Center hosts its first national touring act.

A full slate of shows is planned at the state-of-the-art venue for the fall season, The Villages High School Baseball Stadium will host its first musical performance next month and live music will return to the stage in Downtown Middleton.

“It has been quite a journey over these last few months, and we’re thrilled to finally be close to seeing all of this effort put into action,” said Brian Russo, executive director of The Villages Entertainment. “There’s always the nerves that come with starting something new, but we have a great team that’ll make sure it goes as smoothly as possible.”

Spin Doctors will christen the stage at The Tracy at 7 p.m. Sunday, playing hit singles “Little Miss Can’t Be Wrong” and “Two Princes” along with other songs from its more than 30-year catalog.
