Miley Cyrus Dismisses Attempts to Reconcile with Her Father Billy Ray

Miley Cyrus refuses to bury the hatchet with her father, Billy Ray Cyrus, following his divorce from the singer’s mother Tish.

The 31-year-old renewed their long-running rivalry when she chose not to acknowledge her estranged father during her speech following her first Grammy triumph earlier this month.

A source told Us Weekly that the 62-year-old country musician has “tried reaching out” to his daughter “many times,” but has been received with revulsion.

Billy Ray and Miley’s mother’s 30-year marriage had many ups and downs, with Tish eventually filing for divorce in 2022.

The couple has five children: Trace, Brandi, Miley, Braison, and Noah Cyrus.

The Christmas In Paradise actor has moved on with rapper Firerose, who is 27 years his junior, while Tish has married Prison Break’s Dominic Purcell.

“The family dynamics haven’t been the same since the divorce, and now that Tish and Billy Ray are with other people, there’s even more division among them all,” the insider said, referring to the five siblings’ developing differences.

“Miley hasn’t gotten over the disrespect she feels Billy Ray showed Tish and the family,” they went on to say.
