Mini masterpieces make a big hit

Thursday, May 22 was another busy night at the Wilson Arts Center as the works of its artists were on display in the closing reception for the annual fundraiser Miniature Masterpieces 2025.

An impressive display of food was put together by the visual arts committee. Returning guest bartenders Stacey Matthews and Rayney Anderson kept the guests supplied with fruit juices, canned sodas, water bottles and a special concoction mixed by Dee Dee Oliver, visual arts director, with the quirky name “mocktail,” which was non-alcoholic but proved to be a very popular bar item.

The next art reception will be held for the Jennifer Clifton and Erin Ives exhibitions on June 5.
