Miss Universe Philippines 2024 names swimwear preliminaries winners in Boracay


MANILA, Philippines — A resort in Boracay hosted the Miss Universe Philippines 2024 swimsuit preliminaries over the weekend.

All 53 official delegates wore SV Swimwear of their choice. Some opted for bikinis, others for maillots, while a few chose the traditional monokini.

The Miss Universe Philippines Organization, in a social media post, wrote, “The MUPh 2024 delegates just set the unique pool catwalk of Acqua Boracay on fire!  

“Kudos and applause go to all our delegates for an amazing all-out performance. Congratulations, ladies!”

The judges awarded eight delegates as Acqua Boracay Angels. They, in the order they were called, were:

  • Stacey Gabriel (Cainta)
  • Christi Lynn McGarry (Taguig)
  • Victoria Velasquez Vincent (Bacoor)
  • Alexie Mae Brooks (Iloilo)
  • Tara Mae Valencia (Baguio)
  • Ahtisa Manalo (Quezon Province)
  • Kayla Rabaya Carter (Northern California), and
  • Deanna Mate (Cavite)

Stacey Gabriel of Cainta, the first one called of the Acqua Boracay Angels, was also chosen as Miss WeSportz by Acqua.

In a surprise announcement, Acqua Boracay chose 12 more delegates to become the first brand ambassadors of Arete Tagaytay, the realty group’s latest development in the south of Manila. In the order they were called, they were:

  • Kris Tiffany Janson (Cebu)
  • Anita Rose Gomez (Zambales)
  • Cyrille Payumo (Pampanga)
  • Christina dela Cruz Chalk (United Kingdom)
  • Mary Josephine Paaske (Talisay City)
  • Kymberlee Street (Australia)
  • Selena Antonio Reyes (Pasig)
  • Alexandra Mae Rosales (Laguna)
  • Eunice Deza (San Pablo City)
  • Mary Yasol (Miami)
  • Daniel Alcantara Villar (Cabanatuan), and
  • Rethiana Rosa (Camiguin)

This is the third year that the resort has hosted the swimsuit preliminaries. In 2022, Celeste Cortesi won the swimwear award. And in 2023, it was won by Michelle Dee. Who will win the 2024 Best in Swimsuit award? By next month, we will.know for certain.
