MITSUBISHI Motors Philippines Corp. (MMPC) has donated three vehicles to support the training of future automotive professionals.
The donation includes one Mirage G4 GLX M/T (manual transmission) and two L300 M/T units, which were turned over to three academic institutions: Laguna State Polytechnic University (LSPU) – Siniloan campus, Bataan Peninsula State University (BPSU) – Balanga campus, and Eulogio “Amang” Rodriguez Institute of Science and Technology (Earist) – GMA campus.
The official turnover ceremony took place at MMPC’s plant in Sta. Rosa, Laguna. The event was led by MMPC Chairman Noriaki Hirakata and President and CEO Ritsu Imaeda, together with university leaders Dr. Mario Briones of LSPU, Dr. Rowena Valerio of BPSU, and Dr. Rogelio Mamaradlo of Earist. Faculty members, deans, and automotive technology students from the three schools also attended the event.
The vehicles will be used by students enrolled in automotive programs for hands-on learning in car diagnostics, maintenance, and repair. This allows students to practice with real vehicles as they prepare for careers in the automotive field.
MMPC said the initiative reflects its continued support for education and skills development in the country. It also follows the brand’s global philosophy, “Drive Your Ambition,” focusing on helping individuals and communities grow through innovation and partnership.
“At Mitsubishi Motors, we believe in nurturing future automotive professionals by providing them with the tools they need to succeed. These vehicles will serve as an essential part of their learning journey,” said Hirakata.
The donation is part of MMPC’s broader efforts to help strengthen the country’s automotive industry by working closely with schools and training institutions. Through these partnerships, MMPC hopes to create more job opportunities and help shape a skilled workforce for the future.
