Monica Lewinsky has collaborated with women’s clothing outlet Reformation to encourage young women to vote in this year’s election.
Reformation’s new campaign marks the third year in a row it has encouraged people to vote, and its first to partner with the organization Vote.org, which helps people get registered to vote. Lewinsky, a White House intern during the Clinton administration, said she was motivated by the concept of the voter registration campaign, noting that frustration and apathy among voters is increasing.
“We all have to be reminding each other that we can’t let that get in the way of needing to vote, that that’s how we use our voice,” Lewinsky said. “That’s where our power is.”
The main piece of clothing that Reformation is advertising for this campaign is a long-sleeved shirt that reads “You’ve got the power,” likely referencing a voter’s power to choose their next president. The sales of this shirt, which costs $78, will be donated to Vote.org.
Reformation stated on its website that it did not want to “be another brand just telling you to vote,” so it opted to team up with “experts at Vote.org” to encourage voting.

Lewinsky is not the first celebrity to encourage people to get registered to vote with Vote.org ahead of the 2024 election. Famous musician Taylor Swift used a post on social media to encourage her followers to visit the website. The post has been attributed to getting 35,252 people registered, along with over 150,000 people who visited the site.
Swift is speculated to give an endorsement to President Joe Biden ahead of the 2024 election, which would likely aid him in winning the younger vote. Former President Donald Trump, who is running for president again, claimed earlier this month “There’s no way” that would happen, even though Swift endorsed Biden in the 2020 presidential election.
