Montana Woman Gets 6-Month Hunting Ban for Talking About Killing Husky

TMZ reported on Tuesday that a self-proclaimed Montana huntress had been convicted for murdering, skinning, and posing with a Siberian Husky. The huntress was sentenced for killing, skinning, and posing with the dog. Amber Rose Barnes pleaded no contest to a misdemeanor animal cruelty charge months after her September 2017 Facebook post about “smoking a wolf pup” sparked a criminal investigation and a torrent of internet hatred. According to TMZ, the judge gave her a six-month suspended sentence and ordered her to take an online hunter safety course. In addition, Barnes will be prohibited from using her hunting firearms for the next six months. While the Montana hunting season does not begin until September, the source correctly pointed out that the latter portion of her punishment hardly applies.
