Moog will present hydraulic test actuators, test controllers, hydraulic service manifolds, silent hydraulic power units and motion systems at Automotive Testing Expo North America 2024 (booth 10034), taking place October 22-24 in Novi, Michigan.
“We’re ready to meet our customers’ unique application challenges with building blocks or complete turnkey solutions,” said Larry Rogers, key account manager, automotive test. “Our solutions for test lab managers speed up the introduction of new products by efficiently managing costs and increased regulations.”
Moog’s line-up of solutions includes simulation tables, multi-axis test systems, and four-poster test rigs. For test rigs, actuation is a core component. Moog can extend actuator operating life and reduce maintenance with four solutions for lab managers who are either buying new test rigs or reconditioning equipment.
Moog’s Hydraulic Servo Actuator is the workhorse for fatigue or structural-durability testing of components like automotive suspensions. Moog Servo Valves for test equipment come from the company’s extensive industrial product portfolio, and the Moog Hydraulic Service Manifold (HSM), typically linked to a central hydraulic power unit, effectively controls a test system or individual hydraulic actuator. Moog’s Electrohydrostatic Pump Unit (EPU) is the heart of an electric and hydraulic actuation system that offers hydraulic power under the command and control of electric servo motors for power only when a lab needs it.
If a lab conducts strength and fatigue testing and is upgrading its operation, or just protecting against obsolescence, Moog has an array of flexible solutions to accelerate testing. “Whether a test lab needs building blocks like our electromechanical actuators and high-performance motors or complete test rigs, everything we’re highlighting this year at the Automotive Testing Expo is about driving efficiency,” added Rogers.
