SOUTH BEND, Ind. (WSBT) — The Rotary Club of South Bend delivered Thanksgiving baskets to 150 families Friday afternoon.
The baskets came with food for Thanksgiving, a week’s worth of food, and a $40 Martin’s gift card.
The president of the club, Leonard Sanchez, says the program continues to expand along with the community’s need.
“So we’re trying to help the need that’s growing because, obviously inflation’s hurt a lot of families, and the need has grown. And last year, a box cost probably about $100. This year, a box is about $120,” said Sanchez.
The Rotary Club works with St. Vincent de Paul Society of South Bend to get the meals to families in need.
