From bedtime stories to classical music pieces, the Missouri Symphony Orchestra gave an interactive music lesson on Thursday to Columbia Public Schools third graders, who filled the Missouri Theatre during two performances.
Many students had never been in the iconic Columbia theater and were amazed by its interior architecture. Many pointed at the stage and the big chandelier while greeting friends they recognized from other schools. For teachers, it was important that students experience the music live, and the children liked the fast pace of the performance.
