Musicians to perform benefit concert for free youth music program in Cincinnati

CINCINNATI (WKRC) – Talented musicians are set to take the stage Thursday night to spotlight and raise funds for a free music instruction program for children.

MYCincinnati, an afterschool initiative, serves more than 135 kids in Price Hill, ranging from ages seven to 18.

Participants don’t need prior musical experience or their own instruments, as the program provides instruction in strings, horns, and percussion at the MYCincinnati Firehouse Performing Arts Center.

The staff will host a kick-off concert tomorrow at 6:30 p.m. at the ARCO Cincinnati building on Price Avenue. The event will also feature raffles and refreshments following the performances.
