NASA scientists visit Glacier National Park for Astronomy Week events


WEST GLACIER, Mont. – Glacier National Park will host its first ever Astronomy Week starting Tuesday with events throughout the park featuring activities like solar viewing, night sky programs, and astrophotography workshops.

NASA scientists from the James Webb Telescope and NASA Goddard Space Flight Center will be at events during the week. They will share insights about deep space on Wednesday, September 4 and Thursday, September 5 at the St. Mary Visitor Center Auditorium at 7:00 p.m.

Visitors can also interact with the NASA team at the St. Mary Visitor Center during daytime hours.

The Logan Pass Star Party, the last of the season, will be held on Friday, September 6 as a final celebration of Astronomy Week. This ticketed event costs $5 per car. Tickets go on sale Thursday, September 5 at the St. Mary and Apgar Visitor Centers.
