Nashik: Personnel of the city traffic police underwent a special training on Tuesday on the usage of special gadgets for e-challan.
The training session was held in two batches at the police commissionerate, where officials of the National Informatics Centre (NIC) took feedback from personnel about the gadgets they were given in November last year.
The police said the gadgets will be used all over the country under the one nation one challan system, which aims to bring RTOs and the police across the state on one platform. In Maharashtra, the gadgets were first handed over to the Nashik police to operate them as a pilot project.
ACP Anand Wagh of the city traffic branch said officials of the NIC conducted a training session mainly to take feedback from the traffic personnel about the difficulties they were facing using the new gadgets handed over to them.
The personnel who attended the training gave their suggestions on what changes can be made in the new gadgets. Many of them said they wanted better cameras on the gadgets so the photos they click are clear.
The Nashik police book a large number of motorists on a daily basis for various offences like driving without a license, not wearing helmet or seat belt, driving on the wrong side, triple-seat riding, jumping traffic signals, etc.
