Spectators gathered in Historic Fort Steuben Plaza Friday morning when the Steubenville Nutcracker Village was featured on NBC’s “Today Show” during the inaugural episode of the program’s salute to communities with the “Merriest Main Street.” The segment featured interviews with Therese Fedoryka of the Steubenville Cultural Trust and Steubenville Mayor Jerry Barilla and music from the Steubenville Big Red band. A crowd surrounded the broadcast site, with many cheering in support and some holding signs.
