PERKASIE — TCC, one of the nation’s largest Verizon authorized retailers, and Wireless Zone, the nation’s largest Verizon franchisor, recently conducted their first-ever Rock the Pantry initiative, giving back to local food pantries across the nation, including in Perkasie.

Throughout the month, TCC and participating Wireless Zone stores collected canned food and non-perishable items, and TCC employees participated in large food pantry volunteer events to give back to their communities, including at the Dublin Food Pantry in Perkasie, according to a press release.

“Both TCC and Wireless Zone are committed to strengthening their local communities through year-round events, each benefiting a different group in need,” said the release.

More than 44 million people in the U.S. face hunger, affecting 12.8% of households and 1 in 5 children, figures that continue to increase.
