“Even if you’ve seen the play or the movie or anything like that, this one is going to be really special and something new and entertaining for everybody,” director Stephanie FitzSimon said.

This is a party because the junior high school theatre department is a part of the high school’s production for the first time.

“There are a lot of characters in the show that are of a younger age, and so we wanted to stay true to the age. Make sure that the kids were playing the right roles, and it’s been really fun getting the junior high kids to be taken under the wing of the high school actors as well,” explained FitzSimon.

The production introduces the audience to four siblings during World War II. While escaping the war, their parents take them to a mansion where they come across a wardrobe with a secret portal to Narnia.

“They have this huge adventure where they are a part of a prophecy to help save the world,” FitzSimon shared a plot line of the story.

This show is also fitting for the season.

“The first half of the play, the world is overtaken by a witch who has put eternal winter over the land. So, you’re going to feel very Christmassy, very cozy, and it’s going to really set up the holiday season,” added FitzSimon.

Tickets for the show can be purchased at Navasota High School’s front desk or at the performing arts center on the nights of the show.

Student and staff tickets are $5. General public tickets are $8.
