After trading away Damian Lillard late in the offseason, the Portland Trail Blazers have quickly rebuilt their roster around a young core that includes Deandre Ayton, Anfernee Simons and rookie Scoot Henderson. On Wednesday night, the Trail Blazers will begin their 2023-24 season with a trip to Crypto.com Arena to take on Paul George, Kawhi Leonard and the Los Angeles Clippers. The Clippers are tied for the largest favorites on the NBA schedule on Wednesday, so how much exposure should you have to their roster in your NBA DFS lineups?

Top NBA DFS picks for Wednesday, October 25
For Wednesday, one of McClure’s top NBA DFS picks is Wizards point guard Tyus Jones, who is listed at $4,900 on DraftKings and $5,700 on FanDuel. After eight seasons of primarily coming off the bench in Minnesota and Memphis, Jones finally finds himself in a starting role in Washington.
He should have a lot of opportunities to create in an offense with volume scorers like Jordan Poole and Kyle Kuzma. His numbers as a starter last season in Memphis were impressive, as he averaged 16.4 points, 8.1 assists, 4.0 rebounds and 1.8 steals while shooting 50% from the floor and 41.5% from the 3-point line in 22 games filling in for Ja Morant.
Another part of McClure’s optimal NBA DFS strategy includes Cavaliers PF/C Evan Mobley ($6,300 on DraftKings and $7,400 FanDuel). Mobley earned NBA All-Rookie honors in 2021-22 and then followed that up by making the 2022-23 NBA All-Defensive team.
He averaged 16.2 points, 9.0 rebounds, 2.8 assists and 1.5 blocks while shooting 55.4% from the floor last season. Now he’ll match up with a Nets squad that lacks interior size and that ranked 29th in offensive rebounding percentage (19.6) and 28th in defensive rebounding percentage (73.7) last season.
