NC Mountain State Fair is in September: What to know about dates, prices, rides, entertainment


 

Craving fair food as things start to cool down for the season? You’re in luck — Western North Carolina’s very own Mountain State Fair is returning in September.

As the Friday, Sept. 6, start date approaches, it’s time to grab tickets and start planning your visit. The fair this year has over 10 acts and nearly 40 rides to choose from, plus plenty of food, competitions and more.

When is the Mountain State Fair?

The fair is open for about two weeks, from Sept. 6-15. The fair opens at 9 a.m. Friday-Sunday, and later at 3 p.m. Monday-Thursday. On Fridays and Saturdays, the fair closes at midnight, with a slightly earlier end time all other nights, 11 p.m.

Where is the NC Mountain State Fair?

The fair is located at the WNC Agricultural Center, 1301 Fanning Bridge Road near the airport in Fletcher.

How much are tickets to the Mountain State Fair?

Advance tickets to the state fair are $9 for adults (ages 13-64) and $5 for seniors (65+) and children (ages 0-12).

You can also purchase unlimited ride tickets for $25 Monday-Thursday or $35 Friday-Sunday.
