COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – With the 2023-24 season underway, the National Collegiate Hockey Conference (NCHC) has unveiled its television schedule on CBS Sports Network for the second half of the season. The Network will once again serve as the national television partner of the NCHC, having done so all 11 years of the Conference’s existence.
CBS Sports Network will televise 11 NCHC games starting in January, including eight regular-season conference contests on Friday nights, plus all three games at the 2024 NCHC Frozen Faceoff. All eight NCHC teams will be featured at least once on CBS Sports Network during the regular season, with six teams being televised in their home arenas.
The NCHC on CBS Sports Network slate begins on Friday, Jan. 12 with a battle between two-time defending Penrose Cup champions Denver and 2023 Frozen Faceoff champions St. Cloud State. The match-up at DU’s Magness Arena is set for a 9 p.m. ET/7 p.m. local puck drop.
The following Friday, Jan. 19 Miami visits Colorado College on CBS Sports Network. The month’s television slate then wraps up with the rivalry between Denver and North Dakota on Jan. 26 in Grand Forks. DU and UND were picked first and second, respectively, in the NCHC Preseason Media Poll.
Three more NCHC games will be televised on CBS Sports Network in February, starting with Minnesota Duluth at Omaha on Feb. 2. Two weeks later (Feb. 16), UMD returns home to host the Pioneers on CBS Sports Network, while Western Michigan plays the first of two straight Fridays on national television at St. Cloud State on Feb. 23.
The Broncos are back on CBS Sports Network the following Friday, March 1 at North Dakota. The regular-season television slate then concludes on March 8 with a Gold Pan battle between rivals Denver and Colorado College at CC’s Ed Robson Arena. Game time is slated for 10 p.m. ET/8 p.m. MT on the final Friday of the regular season.
CBS Sports Network will once again televise the entire NCHC Frozen Faceoff live from Xcel Energy Center in St. Paul, Minn. Both semifinals will take place on Friday, March 22, while the championship game is set for Saturday, March 23 at 8:30 p.m. ET/7:30 p.m. CT when the 2024 NCHC Tournament champion will be crowned.
