Despite being cancelled, Fate: The Winx Saga appears to be far from ended.

The show’s fate was announced last year, when the streaming giant cancelled it after two seasons. However, the live-action adaptation of the popular animation show, Winx Club, will continue in a different manner.

The series will resume in 2024 with the publishing of a brand-new comic book that continues where the show left off, according to What’s On Netflix.

Novels for Fate: The Winx Saga are not new to the genre; Ava Corrigan and Sarah Rees Brennan produced two tie-in books alongside seasons 1 and 2, respectively.

Fate: The Winx Saga Vol. 1: Dark Destiny was revealed at New York Comic Con in late 2023 as a “continuation” of the Netflix Original series adaption, which concluded with major cliffhangers.

Olivia Cuartero-Briggs will write the comic book, while Christianne Gillenardo-Goudreau will illustrate it.

Cuartero-Briggs also promised dark themes and plenty of unexpected twists.

Fate: The Winx Saga Vol. 1 Dark Destiny will be released on July 2, 2024.
