A network outage affecting Lovelace Health System has caused the medical center to limit emergency care for patients.In a statement to KOAT, Lovelace Health System communications manager Whitney Marquez said hospital officials discovered the issue on Nov. 23. She added that all of the Lovelace Medical Centers in New Mexico are being affected to some degree.”While there have been no adverse impacts to patient care, we have asked local EMS to divert patients in need of emergency care to other area facilities and some non-urgent, elective surgeries are being rescheduled as we work to bring our systems back online,” said Marquez in a statement.Lovelace Health System officials are trying to determine the impact of the outage while trying to restore online access.
