MOUNT VERNON — Skagit Valley College opened its new Fire Technology Building on its Mount Vernon campus on May 15.

According to a news release, the building will support the college’s Fire Protection Technology program, which has been in place for more than 20 years and provides students with the training necessary for successful firefighting careers.
