BANGOR, Maine (WABI) – Attention golfers out there! No matter how you play, now your round can always end with Birdies.

That’s the name of the new food and drink program at the Bangor Municipal Golf Course.

Birdies opened earlier this month with a traditional sit-down location as well as a beverage cart.

Co-owners Matt Robinson and Bob Culter have had their eye on this opportunity for a decade.

They’re excited to bring their years of experience — in everything from breweries to fine dining — to the table.

“Birdies is a family-friendly food option at Bangor Municipal Golf Course. Smash burgers, hot dogs, lobster rolls, flat breads, nachos, wings. What you would expect, done with a lot of pride,” Cutler said. “People say Disney is the happiest place. It’s not. It’s Bangor Municipal Golf Course. Everyone is always in a great mood, thrilled. The course is in great shape. All we have to do is meet their expectations.”

Birdies is open daily from 10:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. for golfers and non-golfers alike.
