New N.J. restaurant is a must for Caribbean eats and party jams

Bacchanal Junction, a boisterous new restaurant in Bloomfield, aims to transport patrons to a sunny, tropical atmosphere with its modern twist on Caribbean fare — visions of Trinidad and Tobago, Jamaica, Barbados; flavors of jerk chicken and stew king fish and oxtails.

It’s owned by father and son duo Parris and Tristan Jordan, who share a long history of working in the hospitality industry. Parris Jordan, who is from Trinidad, works for the world’s largest hospitality consulting firm, focusing on projects in the Caribbean and other regions. He owns another restaurant, Limin’s Cafe Caribe, a hole-in-the-wall spot in East Orange, which offers Trinidad-style cuisine.
