New restaurant has ‘raised the bar’ for dining

A new Thai restaurant in Kenilworth has earned rave reviews among satisfied foodies in its first week in business. Nur Nur Paradise launched last Friday (November 10) after months of renovation to the Warwick Road building.

And first impressions appear particularly favourable among those who have sample the cuisine. “The bar has been raised for Thai food in Kenilworth,” one customer posted on Facebook.

Another diner wrote in agreement, but did highlight one particular flaw, saying: “Food was excellent Saturday evening,” they said, “but the extremely long wait for it to arrive was testing. However, given it was their first weekend they should be given some slack, and we will return.”

Another impressed punter wrote: “We were there on Friday evening. The hosts were great and their cuisine was first class. Already planning our next visit. Nur Nur Paradise is the place to visit.”

“I went on Monday with a friend and it was great,” a fourth commenter said. “Service was super speedy too.”

Run by Lee Wongsalees and Chamtama Nimceam, both born in Thailand, the new eatery serves a wide variety of freshly-prepared food from traditional Thai dishes to Western cuisine that is given a South East Asian twist.

But it’s not just the restaurant’s food that’s been winning over admirers locally. “You’ve all been working so hard and the restaurant looks amazing,” a neighbouring business said. “Wishing you every success.”

Staff have clearly gone to great lengths to make the decor decadent, but also inviting – as you can see from these pictures of the interior.
