New Theater Hosts its First Play

Club 1273, the inaugural theater venue in the South Lafourche area, recently premiered its first production, “Carol and the Belles.” The realization of a performing arts studio for children along the bayou has finally materialized, a dream fulfilled for directors Dwayne Rebstock and Lauren Melone.

Expressing their pride, Rebstock and Melone commended the dedication of the children who have been rehearsing since August. Melone emphasized their aim to cultivate “triple threats” – individuals adept in singing, acting, and dancing. She enthusiastically mentioned, “We have a blast every week!”

Enrollment for the upcoming spring semester is currently open, with classes scheduled to commence on January 15, 2024.
