New UK network to fund fashion ‘mini-projects’

LONDON – The Future Fibres Network+ (FFN+), a collaborative effort between UK universities and fashion industry trade bodies, is to offer grants of up to £100,000 ($127,000) for ‘mini-projects’ working to advance sustainable fashion.

FFN+, which is led by the University of Exeter in partnership with the UK Fashion and Textile Association (UKFT), says it aims to embed environmental sciences at the heart of the fashion and textile sectors, and establish systematic, circular and sustainable principles as the industry norm.
