New York City Police Arrest Actor Jonathan Majors on Assault Charges

Authorities in New York City said that actor Jonathan Majors was arrested on Saturday after a domestic dispute.

The NYPD confirmed in a statement that the Creed III and Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania celebrity was found at the scene of a reported domestic dispute.

Police say that he is now being charged with strangulation, assault, and harassment.

“A preliminary investigation found that a 33-year-old man and a 30-year-old woman got into a fight at home. The victim told the police that she had been hurt. Police said they took the 33-year-old suspect into custody peacefully and that the unidentified victim “sustained minor injuries to her head and neck and was removed to an area hospital in stable condition.”

Majors has reportedly been released from police custody, as reported first by TMZ. Unnamed law enforcement sources told the news outlet that the alleged victim is the actor’s girlfriend and that the two had a fight in a taxi on the way home.

A representative for the star told TMZ: “The claims against him are false.” “He hasn’t broken any rules. We can’t wait to clear his name and make this right.”
