Nine people are in hospital after a car crashed into a bus stop in central London, police have said.
Officers were called at approximately 03:30 GMT on Sunday to reports that a vehicle had hit a number of pedestrians in Aldwych.
London Ambulance Service (LAS) confirmed eight people were taken to hospital for treatment.
A man in his 20s was arrested on suspicion of dangerous driving and he was also taken to hospital.
The ambulance service said three of the patients were taken to major trauma centres and the others to local hospitals.
Road closures remain in place.
The Metropolitan Police said at this stage, the incident was not being treated as terror-related.
