A NJ Transit train leaving from Long Branch struck a car Wednesday morning at the Bethany Road crossing in Hazlet.

NJ Transit says there were no injuries reported to the 150 customers or the crew on board at the time of the incident. They say no injuries were reported in the motor vehicle.

North Jersey Coast Line train 3224 departed Long Branch around 7 a.m. and was scheduled to arrive at Penn Station New York around 8:30 a.m. when it “made contact” with a motor vehicle, according to NJ Transit.

NJ Transit says customers from train 3224 transferred to a following train. NJ Transit police are investigating. The car has been towed.
