An NLA Session on lifestyle and nutrition includes three presentations on cardiometabolic health and dietary macronutrients.

The National Lipid Association (NLA) Scientific Sessions 2025 take place from May 29 through June 1 in Miami. The agenda includes educational sessions on multiple topics, as well as symposia and lectureships.

In addition to a focus on severe hypercholesterolemia, another highlight of the NLA Scientific Sessions this year includes a full session dedicated to lifestyle and nutrition. The session will feature three presentations, all of which are poised to provide relevant information clinicians can share with their patients back in the clinic.

The first discussion in this session is titled “Optimal Diet for Cardiometabolic Health.” It will be led by Ada Cuevas, MD, MSc.

Following the presentation from Dr. Cuevas, Kevin Hall, PhD, will deliver the presentation titled “How Ultra Processed Food System Causes Cardiometabolic Disease.”

The last final presentation in the session on lifestyle and nutrition is titled, “Dietary Macronutrient Profile- How Important Is It?” That will be led by Alice H. Lichtenstein, DSc, MS.

The session focusing on lifestyle and nutrition takes place on Saturday, May 31. It also includes a pre-session assessment, a Q&A panel, and a post-session assessment. Beth Jackson, MSN, is scheduled to lead the pre-session assessment.
