Hawkeyes face a UNI squad that has 10 native Iowans on its roster

What to know: Iowa owns a 25-3 record all-time against UNI, including 88-74 last year at Iowa City. The Panthers’ last win in the series came in 2019, 88-66 at Cedar Falls.
The Hawkeyes are coming off an 80-76 victory over No. 8 Virginia Tech on Thursday. Caitlin Clark scored 44 points, and the Hawkeyes overcame a 1-of-16 start from 3-point range.
Iowa is shooting 22.2 percent from long distance.
At 36.0 points per game, Clark is the top scorer in the nation. She is 15 points away from Megan Gustafson’s Iowa career scoring record of 2,804 points.
Four players (Clark, Hannah Stuelke, Kate Martin and Gabbie Marshall) have started both Iowa games. Sharon Goodman and Molly Davis have one start apiece.
Ten of UNI’s 13 players are native Iowans, including all five starters.
Maya McDermott (Johnston) scored 16 points and dished out nine assists in the Panthers’ season-opening 78-67 win over Green Bay on Tuesday. Grace Boffeli (North Scott) posted 14 points and 10 rebounds.
UNI redshirt sophomore Shateah Wetering began her career at Iowa, transferring from the Hawkeyes in April.
