No, Beyoncé Wasn’t Being “Fake” When She Told Sabrina Carpenter That She Loves Her At The Grammys — And I Have The Receipts That Prove It

One viral tweet — which has been seen more than 2.7 million times and has tens of thousands of likes and retweets — shares footage from a radio interview that Sabrina did at just 18 years old.

The tweet reads: “Beyoncé has been supporting Sabrina Carpenter since before you people even knew her name.”

In the clip, Sabrina is recounting meeting Beyoncé to the hosts, saying: “[She] was basically just like: ‘Hi, I’m Bey,’ and I was like: ‘I know.’”

Giggling, Sabrina went on to share: “She said so many sweet things, I wasn’t expecting her to know my existence, and so it was just a really, really humbling experience.”

“When you think about it, you know, there’s so many people in this industry, and so many people are really nice, and then there’s those people [who] even though they know who you are, they’re like: ‘I’m just gonna walk past you, pretend that you don’t exist,’” Sabrina added.

“And to have Beyoncé walk past you, and make sure that you know [she knows] that you exist, I was like: ‘There’s nothing to ever be a brat ever again in my life,’” she went on. “You’re just blessed.”
