The group has been featured in Rolling Stone and Showbiz Magazine and on NBC, CBS and ABC television shows. The resident Beatles show band for “Legends in Concert,” the world’s premier and longest-running tribute show, the group performs in Las Vegas and Branson, Missouri.
Their tribute performance encompasses all eras of Beatles music from the Hamburg days through the Shea Stadium performance into pop history’s magical Sgt. Pepper album and beyond.
“Yesterday – The Beatles Tribute” was voted the No. 1 Tribute Act by The Fremont Street Experience, an entertainment and gaming attraction in Las Vegas. Also, according to the group’s website, it was the longest-running show – for three years – at the Tropicana Hotel Casino Resort in Atlantic City.
The Nov. 15 show will run about two hours, with an intermission, said Don Bellezzo, the group’s founder. Rhythm guitarist and lead vocalist, he portrays John Lennon.
Bellezzo is described as a devoted musician whose “tuneful expertise and brilliant vocals create an undeniably striking stage presence enhanced by perfect mannerisms, sit and stunning visual appearance … (which stir) cherished memories of the unique John Lennon,” according to the website.
At the Northwood event, he will be joined on stage by Rich Fazzi, as Paul McCartney; Danny Leavitt, as George Harrison; and Tony Felicetta, as Ringo Starr.
The audience can expect “a live re-creation of The Beatles in concert,” Bellezzo said in a phone interview. He expects that “99%-plus of the audience members probably never saw The Beatles.”

Over the past roughly 25 years since the group’s founding, the performers have perfected “the sound, look and mannerisms” of the Fab Four, he said.
“All the songs are done in the original key, not lowered at all,” to accurately reflect Lennon and McCartney’s higher male voices.
Fazzi, a natural left-handed bass player, is a multi-talented California native who transports the audience to a more carefree era with his portrayal of McCartney.
Leavitt, as lead guitarist and vocalist, portrays Harrison with striking presence and stage movements.
Felicetta portrays the fun-filled, light-hearted Ringo Starr with “astonishing style (and) a glittering personality that shines through with all his accurate drum patterns and fills,” according to the website.
Bellezzo, who hails from Chicago, said he began as a singer and acoustic guitarist who performed – including music by Neil Young and the Eagles – in the student union cafe while attending Loyola University.
“Whenever I did Beatles songs, people went crazy,” he said. They commented that he looked like McCartney. So he began wearing a black turtleneck and assumed the role; the group grew from there.
