Notre Dame of Maryland University to acquire Maryland University of Integrative Health

Notre Dame of Maryland University will acquire the Maryland University of Integrative Health, the schools announced Thursday in a news release.

The Maryland University of Integrative Health, based in Laurel and founded in 1974, will initially operate independently as a separate accredited institution until its graduate-level programs in integrative health and wellness are integrated into Notre Dame. As part of the merger, Notre Dame, a nonprofit, private Catholic university founded in 1895 and located in North Baltimore, will create the first school dedicated to integrative health within a comprehensive university in the country, according to the news release.
