ASHEVILLE, N.C. (WLOS) — A new medical practice is set to open in the area soon. Novant Health will open a surgical center on Peachtree Road in south Asheville in November.
Novant Health confirms they’ve partnered with six local surgeons to open the new surgical practice.
In a statement to News 13, a Novant Health spokesperson said, “We’re excited to confirm our plans to partner with six local surgeons to open Novant Health Surgical Partners next month at 80 Peachtree Rd (Suite 210). We’re committed to serving the Western North Carolina community and will continue to look for ways to expand our services and offerings to increase access to quality healthcare.”
The new surgical center is planned for 80 Peachtree Road as Novant Health works to increase its presence in western North Carolina.
According to their website, Novant operates two urgent care centers in Asheville currently, one on Merrimon Avenue and another on Leicester Highway, as well as one in Black Mountain.
Novant Health applied for the 67 acute care beds facility approved for Buncombe County that went to AdventHealth. Mission Health has appealed that decision.
