A sedan crashed into the 7-Eleven on Diablo Avenue, injuring several people and forcing the store to close indefinitely, the Novato Police Department reported.

The crash happened at about 6 p.m. Monday when the driver accidentally pressed the accelerator instead of the brake while parking, police said. Paramedics took the driver and a few customers to the hospital for treatment of minor injuries.

Intoxication is not suspected as a factor in the crash. The store will be closed until structural damage is repaired.
